Our foundation
I’m David Baldwin, co-founder of JET Translations.
I started my career in international business development, setting up operations in 33 countries. During my 20 years in this field, I struggled to find native translators with the necessary technical and legal understanding. So the vision for JET Translations was born, to provide legal and technical translation by professionals in that field.
My MA degree in international law and intellectual property paired with the translation problems I had encountered overseas gave me a glimpse into the advantage of a team of industry expert translators. I envisioned a boutique translation agency where our translators would be scientists, clinicians, lawyers, and engineers who could easily speak our clients’ technical, legal, and scientific languages.
Since taking on co-ownership in 2009, we have grown into a team of 18 in-house translators specializing in legal, scientific, and technical translations, but patents are our passion. If you are an attorney prosecuting or litigating your client’s IP, I’m confident our translation can give you the upper hand, providing the advantage your clients expect.
